Our Day Out

Drake, Trista, Grandma, and I headed to the Chandler Fashion Center for a trip to the Lego store. We started the day at Villa Pizza in the food court where we ate pizza and pasta and watched the birds snatch crumbs from the floor. Then we headed to Mrs. Fields for a pizza cookie, sans icing (Drake) and a sugar cookie loaded with rainbow sprinkles (Miss Trista). After our cookie break we stopped in to visit the puppies, cus you have to visit the puppies! Finally, we made it to the Lego store...where we spent the next 2 hours, give or take a bathroom break or two. (Tip of the day: Don't tell a 3 yr old that you can't hear her and to say it again louder when you're in a crowded store unless you are fully prepared for everyone to hear exactly what she's saying.) The Lego store was very cool...exhausting, but very cool. We left with 3 custom Drake-made Lego-men, an Atlantis Shadow Snapper and Wreck Raider, a Darth Vader key chain, a Thomas the Tank Engine set, and a Lego block key chain. We headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's for some Grandpa-made pasta and meatballs (yum!) and massive amounts of Lego building and playing. We capped the day off with some outside silliness before it was time to settle down for the night. Lots of fun and giggles were had by all. This was Our Day Out! Love, Auntie Joy
